Cayla (c.lawww) is an Indonesian graphic designer and illustrator currently based in Brooklyn, New York, where she is pursuing her B.F.A. in Communication Design with a minor in Entrepreneurship at Pratt Institute. She is the designer of “Noni,” the character mascot for 88rising’s girl group, no na. Inspired by character mascots and collectible toys, “Noni” was created as an ode to fans who love all things no na and an appreciation for all things cute. Cayla’s work is characterized by vibrant colors, playful compositions, and her love for childhood nostalgia. You’ll probably find little previews of food sprinkled throughout, too! Through her artistic practice, she reconnects with her Indonesian culture and hopes to introduce it to a wider audience. She’s into all things art and design and considers herself an interdisciplinary artist who is always willing to learn, experiment, and continue improving her craft.
