Alima is an illustrator based in Bandung, Indonesia. Most of her work is related to literature, but since she loves storytelling through visuals, she enjoys children’s book illustration the most. She is a curious person who loves learning how things work. She is a big fan of encyclopedias and enjoys exploring many topics, from natural sciences to global traditions, as her inspiration comes mostly from nature and culture. While she mainly works digitally, she also likes using watercolor and gouache to add a traditional feel to her art. She often uses natural tones with some vibrant accents in her work. When she’s not drawing, she likes to cook for her family and spend quality time with her children.
