Dean Ananta / SILKYDAKS

I'm Dean Ananta, a 2D/3D Artist based in Indonesia. Silkydaks is an art series about Omi, an egg-shaped robot living his quiet little life, except he's also responsible for three very attached ducks. "Silky" comes from the characters' silky smooth egg-likeshape, while "daks" is a playful twist on "ducks," inspired bythe Sundanese word "barudaks". "As a creator, Omi represents the beginning of my journey in 3D. Everything I create starts from simple forms, which is why he is shaped like an egg. The three ducks share the same rounded form to reflect that they come from the same origin. They accompany Omi in his daily life and serve as my self insert, with each duck representing a different faces of my personality while still being entirely me."
