Porfirynoir is an independent studio founded by Anis, built as a space to explore and expand her practice across fine art, multiples, and applied mediums. Beginning with ballpoint pen illustration, Anis developed a deep commitment to craftsmanship rooted in her view of the natural world as something living, interconnected, and worth documenting. That same spirit carries through everything the studio makes. From painting to three-dimensional work, and into collaborations with brands, Porfirynoir brings Anis's organic aesthetic into functional objects and everyday surfaces. Each piece, regardless of format, continues the same ongoing story of nature and the creatures that move within it.

The Iridescent Day, acrylic on canvas, 90x90 cm, 2026 This work is drawn from two seasons that occurred at once: the iridescent clouds that appeared not long ago, and the citrus swallowtail butterflies flying through my hometown. In that same stretch of time, something in me went dim. Yet these signs in the sky and in the wind reminded me that every season in life carries its own light and its own color, even the ones that arrive quietly, or ones we cannot yet fully see. Simpang Ruang Menuju Pulang Watercolor, acrylic ink, colored pencil on paper, 90x60 cm, 2026 This work is inspired by Yukio Mishima's novel The Temple of the Golden Pavilion, which tells the story of a young man whose entire life becomes consumed by the beauty of a golden temple, until he ultimately decides to burn it down. The temple stands as a manifestation of every ideal humanity longs to reach, whether material, spiritual, or suspended somewhere in between. At the crossing between these spaces, we are forced to choose: to keep chasing an illusion, or to find our way home, back to ourselves, even if it means dismantling the very ideals we once believed were absolute.

A Love Letter from a Place You Called Home is a collaborative work with Inklusa, a disability community based in Jombor, exploring motifs developed through the ciprat (splash) batik technique combined with fabric paint applied directly onto the fabric 80x100 cm. Each visual blends intuitive strokes with personal abstractions, impressions of surrounding forms absorbed and reinterpreted by each participant. As a result, no two motifs are alike, each carries its own personal narrative, shaped by the maker's unique perspective. This collaboration grows out of an ongoing exchange between artistic process and community. Note: The workshop with this community is still on going, so the final visual outcome may continue to evolve.
