Hello my name is Haikal, also known as Idiomonstar. I am a Product Design undergraduate student with a strong interest in character design, collectible toy design, and visual storytelling. Through Idiomonstar, I create a universe filled with monsters that are born from situations, emotions, and events related to Indonesian idioms. Every illustration and toy released through Idiomonstar is a visual representation of Indonesian idiomatic expressions, transformed into imaginative monster characters with their own personalities and forms. Idiomonstar also develops functional toy designs inspired by these characters. Each design combines monster elements that represent Indonesian idioms with flower components that symbolize the figurative meaning behind the expressions. This interest in transforming ideas into physical and visual forms also influences my activities during university life. I usually spend my time experimenting with 3D printing, painting, sculpting, 3D modeling, and illustration as part of my creative exploration process. I enjoy exploring different materials, forms, and visual styles while developing characters into art toys, merchandise, and other visual creations.
