My illustration practice operates within the ecosystem of music and visual subculture, particularly through gig posters, album artwork, and merchandise. I approach images not merely as visual communication, but as living artifacts, produced, circulated, worn, and embedded within collective identity. My work is rooted in rock music culture while drawing a parallel to prehistoric rock art. I explore both as part of the same visual lineage, where gestures and symbols move across time, from cave walls to contemporary surfaces. Through techniques like stencil and mouth spray, I reinterpret these ancient methods within today’s visual language. My recent works also involve research into prehistoric pigments and image-making processes through residencies and collaborations. Visually, my work is dense, vibrant, and layered compositions that collide and overlap. It reflects how music feels and how subcultures evolve: raw, non-linear, and constantly reshaped through reinterpretation.

Fossil Circuit 21 x 29,7 cm Risograph 2026 Fossil Circuit is a universe that explores the intersection of archaeology, technology, visual culture, and time travel. Through a narrative that moves between rock art, electronic circuits, artifacts, and scientific speculation, this project reexamines how we understand history and progress. Here, time does not move linearly. It cycles, leaving traces that continually resurface in various forms. Is technology a new invention? Or is it simply old knowledge rediscovered in a different form?

Viva la Libre 31 x 31 cm Screen print 2026 Artwork for Muchos Libre’s self-titled album. It tells the story of a longing for the sense of freedom and independence of a wrestler without a master. But the reality is different; many aspects of modern life bind us and force us to do things we don’t fully want to do. However, that’s no obstacle; we have the right to have fun in our own way. These hidden symbols represent the songs on this album: dark, heavy, energetic, silly, and satirical at the same time.

Don’t Have a Crow Man! 29 x 42 cm Mouth Spray Soil, Ocher, Egg and Drawing on Handmade Recycle Paper 2025 In this work, I explore the complex relationship between crows and humans in Malaysia, particularly in Kuala Lumpur, where both species continuously adapt and coexist within the same urban environment. My artistic practice draws connections between contemporary visual culture and prehistoric rock art. Through the use of ancient stencil techniques, I apply organic pigments made from soil and egg, spraying them directly from the mouth as an experimental approach inspired by prehistoric image-making traditions. For me, images function as living artifacts that carry traces of time, memory, and human activity. By reinterpreting prehistoric techniques within a contemporary context, this work creates a dialogue between the past and the present while questioning how humans, animals, materials, and environments continue to shape one another.

Reak from Another Space 31,5 x 45 cm Screen Print 2026 Seni Reak is more than just a traditional performance. It is a sonic ritual that creates an experience that is hard to describe. Its sound is wild, repetitive, and hypnotic, like a message sent from a civilization far, far away. Perhaps the sound of the Reak we hear today is an ancient echo that continues to resonate into the future. Through this work, I envision Reak as a convergence of tradition, musical subculture, and science fiction, a parade winding through the village, yet feeling like an intergalactic journey.
