Ria Ridwana is an Architectural Illustrator & Designer who began drawing during her architectural studies in 2016. Since 2020, she has consistently explored architectural illustration as a medium for visual documentation and artistic expression through ink hatching and watercolor techniques. To date, Ria has illustrated approximately 50 traditional houses from various regions across Indonesia as part of her effort to open broader conversations around the richness of Nusantara architecture and cultural heritage. Through her works, Ria approaches illustration as “a bridge between architecture, memory, and public education” - reintroducing traditional and heritage architecture of Indonesia through a visual language that is personal, expressive, educational, and relevant to contemporary audiences.
