Willwin Yang is a Malaysian illustrator known for blending vintage aesthetics, humour, and emotional storytelling through bold illustrations inspired by her everyday life. She is best known for creating Willwin Mini Mart, a playful concept store that transforms ordinary household items into nostalgic illustrated merchandise. Her iconic Sardine Fans presented a fully illustrated fish-shaped fan, packaged in an illustrated "canned sardines" box filled with puns. Over the years, Willwin’s practice has expanded into themes surrounding modern womanhood, intimacy, desire, and emotional vulnerability. Her latest ongoing project, Willwin FM, takes the form of a fictional women-centric radio station that “broadcasts” the emotional eras of girlhood through prints, merchandise, and immersive visual storytelling. Drawing from music culture, vinyl record album, and personal experiences, her works balances humour and honesty while exploring the messy contradictions of being a woman.
