Zenavi is a Filipina/German artist based in Indonesia whose work begins with emotion and curiosity, often told through the eyes of her stoic characters.
She explores connections to home, friends, family, and ultimately ourselves as a way of understanding why people act the way they do. Through color, pattern, and repetition, she breaks down these relationships and reassembles them into visual spaces that invite reflection rather than judgment.
Her works have been exhibited internationally across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the United States, including at Art Dubai, alongside exhibitions in New York, Paris, Lisbon, Tokyo, and Seoul, as well as large-scale digital billboard installations in Times Square and Hong Kong. She has also collaborated with brands and organizations including LG Electronics, Digital Art Fair Asia, and Earth Major.
Working across illustration, animation, sound, and interactive technologies, Zenavi uses digital tools not only as a medium, but as a way to amplify emotional understanding. Digital art and technology allow her to translate feeling into rhythm, atmosphere, and movement, creating environments that hold both intimacy and distance.
At the core of her practice is self-reflection. She examines the quiet pains of growth: the constant learning, unlearning, and longing that shape us in pursuit of happiness and meaning. Her work does not aim to provide answers, but instead creates moments of pause where complexity, vulnerability, and emotional clarity can coexist.
